With the Christmas holidays just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to relax, sit in front of a fire, eat some mince pies and watch movies with family and friends. But it can also be a great way to improve you English, especially your listening skills and even learn a few things about English culture!

We’ve put together a list of our favourite Christmas films that you can watch, in English, over the Christmas period.

🎄 Kim: Home Alone
This Christmas classic will teach you all about the importance of family during the holidays. It’s also full of action which makes it a little easier to follow what’s going on.

🎄Bunmi: Die Hard (yes, yes, it’s a Christmas film!)
It’s set during a Christmas party and has four Christmas songs, so yes, it can be considered a Christmas film!

🎄Helen: Love Actually
If you’re a fan of romantic comedies, this is the film for you! You’ll also enjoy the different English accents throughout the film.

🎄Jenny: Holiday
Another Christmas classic. It’s also full of American and English accents.

🎄Rachel: Toy Story
While this film takes place during the summertime, there is plenty of Christmas magic at the end that makes it a perfect movie during the holiday season.

🎄Kirsty: The Snowman
This gentle tale follows a boy who builds a snowman – that comes to life. An ideal watch with children.

Enjoy!
